Review by hotel critic
Immersing myself in the heart of Amsterdam at the enchanting Rho Hotel was a delightful experience. Nestled in a quiet side street off the historic Dam Square, this Art Deco-style former theater exuded elegance from the moment I stepped into its cavernous lobby filled with natural light. the room was a serene sanctuary, adorned with light wood furniture and soothing colors, offering modern amenities like free WiFi. The central location allowed us to explore the city's iconic landmarks on foot, with the Royal Palace and the New Church just a few steps away. Each morning, we indulged in a generous breakfast spread in the charming dining room overlooking Dam Square, savoring a selection of bread, cereals, and warm dishes, including scrumptious scrambled eggs. The attentive staff, particularly the courteous gentlemen at reception, ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable. Although there were a few bumps with the evening staff, the overall service was commendable. the hotel's proximity to Centraal Station made our transportation seamless, while nearby attractions like the Anne Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum enriched our cultural experience. From the convenience of private bathrooms and the availability of snacks and drinks to the option for dry cleaning services, Rho Hotel catered to our every need. With its blend of classic charm and contemporary comfort, this urban retreat provided a tranquil escape in the bustling heart of Amsterdam. I found myself captivated by the hotel's unique blend of history, design, and hospitality, making it a perfect choice for art lovers and travelers seeking a mix of old-world charm and modern convenience.
